Dr. Kamal Verma

Dentist

Dr. Kamal Verma was born in Nairobi, Kenya and immigrated to Canada in 1968. He grew up in Swift Current. He took his schooling at the University of Saskatchewan and graduated from the College of Dentistry in 1985. Upon graduation, he bought a practice in the Medical Arts Building and then opened a second clinic on Pinehouse Drive. In 1990 he closed the downtown practice and worked solely at Pinehouse Dental Office. He taught at the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry for over 20 years and earned the rank of Part-Time Clinical Associate Professor. Currently, he continues to teach once a week.

Dr. Verma is married and has four children. He has coached both soccer and basketball in Lawson Heights. His interests include: cooking, golfing, gardening and reading. Family is important to him and as a result he enjoys spending his time with them whether it be at one of their athletic activities or on vacation.

Dr. Verma will have been running his practice for 39 years in 2024. He continues to take education courses so he can stay on top of the ever-changing technology in Dentistry. He still is passionate about what he does and treats his patients as his “extended” family.

Dr. Neelan Verma

Dentist

Dr. Neelan Verma was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He graduated from the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 2023. Along with his degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine, he has also received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology and Pharmacology with great distinction.

In his free time, Dr. Neelan enjoys being outdoors, playing recreational football and basketball, and spending time with his friends and family.

Like his father, Dr. Kamal Verma, Neelan is passionate about the field of dentistry and was the recipient of the Western Canada Dental Society Student Fellowship Award in 2022. Even though he is a new graduate, Dr. Neelan continues to take education courses in order to deliver top notch patient-centred care. Dr. Neelan is looking forward to treating our community and follow in his father’s footsteps.

Twila

Receptionist/ Office Manager

Twila grew up on her family farm near Ituna, Saskatchewan.  Upon graduation she moved to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained her bachelor’s of Arts and Science degree in Sociology.  A few years later she obtained her level 1 Dental Assisting certificate through NAIT.  She has been in the dental field for over 20 years.
Twila, along with her husband keep busy with their two teenage boys.  When not at the hockey rink, they enjoy family vacations, camping and hiking.  Twila has a passion for Ukrainian dance and fitness and also loves to garden and cook.

Twila enjoys interacting and building relationships with our patients to ensure they all have a positive and welcoming dental experience.

Amber

Dental Assistant

Amber was raised near Tisdale, Sk. She worked for a year in Saskatoon before heading off to Regina to the Dental Assistant program through SIAST. Upon completing her course in 2008, Amber moved back to Saskatoon. She has been working along side Dr. Verma since 2012.Amber and her husband have three beautiful young children. A girl, and two boys that keep them busy!
They own a cabin at Emma Lake where they like to spend time with all their extended family and friends. When she can find the time between raising the kids, and working Amber enjoys crafting, reading, watching movies, and baking.  She usually has a project of some kind on the go.

Kayla

Dental Assistant

Kayla lives in Saskatoon, but is originally from Prince George, British Columbia. She loves to read, walk, cook, travel and try new things as often as possible. Other interests include boating, fishing, hiking, sky-diving, and hang-gliding. She has worked in the dental field since she was 18 years old and loves every aspect of it--especially the continuous learning and working with patients. 

Daria

Dental Assistant

Daria was born and raised in Saskatoon, and graduated from Dental Assisting at the U of S in 2021. Soccer is her favourite sport, and has been playing since she was 4. Daria loves sci-fi movies, and listening to audiobooks while taking her dog Teddy for walks. 

Lycka

Dental Hygienist

Lycka moved from Philippines to Canada at age 13, She enjoys listening to podcasts, reading books and playing online games. Lycka is a foodie with a sweet tooth; dark chocolates and mochi are her irresistible weaknesses. In the future, Lycka hopes to explore the world and experience new cultures and adventures. 

Madison

Dental Hygienist

Madison is originally from the town of Weyburn, SK. She pursued her passion for dental hygiene by attending The Vancouver College of Dental Hygiene.  Madison enjoys the beauty of summer, and finds solace in activities such as golfing, beach outings, and camping adventures, allowing her to recharge and connect with nature. However, her heart truly lies in spending quality time with my family and friends. In her professional role, Madison is recognized for her genuine, caring, and comforting nature, thereby establishing a  trusting relationship with her patients and provide them with personalized care. Madison is also dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, staying on top of the latest advancements in dental hygiene to deliver the highest standard of care. Madison's goals are to not only enhance smiles, but also to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients.
